In one of the cities located at the Mexican-U.S. border,named Ciudad Juarez,in Chihuahua state,since 1993,until the current year 2002,there´s been around 300 homicides of women ("feminicide"). And these are being carried out in the most brutal,perverse and inhuman ways. The local government´s response to this matter has been minimal,and that of the Federal authorities is non-existent. They are simply not interested because the women murdered are of working-class or peasant /indigenous origins.

| Ever since 1993,the crimes of unknown origin have been perpetrated.No one knows exactly why,but it is believed that underlying causes may be:"snuff films",necrophyllic sex,commerce with human organs,a thirst for sadistic "fun",narcotraffic,police corruption,and government officials´business deals. The murders also convey a high degree of sadism and torture of live women´s bodies,together with sexual pleasure obtained by penetrating of their orifices,tearing off their breasts,cutting up their bellies,dismembering them or cutting them up in pieces;other practices are skull-shattering,burning the bodies,extracting their bowels,sticking up sticks or toxic substances into their vaginas,spine-breaking,running the bodies over with cars...,and as for the female children attacked,they are sexually abused for several days and then,suffocated. |

We are aware that such crimes are not only due to the existence of isolated psychopats or of organized crime.They are also a consequence of unemployment,forced immigration,hunger,low wages,the "maquilization" of the Mexican economy,poverty,lack of true democracy,and of course,patriarchy.In a word,a corrupt social order and a state of profound decay. This
case,known as "feminicide in Juarez",competes the federal
authority,it is a national security issue,directly linked to organized
crime,that is,an imposed economic/social system which is totally
unfair and inhuman,i.e. neo-liberalism.
